Denmark is one of the Scandinavian countries which has a very long and interesting history, besides its a very beautiful country with fascinating landscapes and charming big and small cities. Denmark is mostly situated on the islands, the largest of which is Sjælland (Zealand) with the nations capital København(Copenhagen).The next largest island is Fyn(Fionia) with its biggest city Odense where Hans Christian Andersern, the famous Danish writer was born. A large part of Denmark lies in Jylland, where it borders with Germany. Almost along the whole West coast of Jylland stretch sand beaches.
Jylland, Fyn and Sjælland are connected via bridges and highways, so if you go by car its very easy to travel in the country.All parts of Denmark are well connected by railways and airlines.If you like to travel on bicycle there are bicycle routes all over the country.There are many different ways to stay in the country: hotels, hostels, camping sites,bed & breakfast or you can rent a summerhouse. They are mostly located near the coastline.
If you visit Denmark only for 3 or 4 days the best way is to fly to Copenhagen airport and see København and Nordsjælland. There are many tourist attractions: museums, old castles, palaces, beautiful landscapes, parks. There are also many restaurants and shopping opportunities.
